Education:

It was Sheikh Dr. Nadwi’s spiritual journey that truly shaped his destiny. Enrolling in traditional Islamic seminaries and studying under eminent scholars, he delved into the depths of Islamic jurisprudence, Quranic sciences, and Hadith, emerging as a scholar of remarkable insight and erudition. His doctoral studies, focusing on the literary contributions of Imam Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, showcased his dedication to preserving and elucidating the rich heritage of Islamic scholarship.

  • 1971: Diploma in teaching Arabic Language under Government of Kerala.It is noteworthy that Prof. Nadwi was profoundly influenced by the Arabic language, with his doctoral research focusing on the contributions of Imam Suyuti to Arabic literature. Furthermore, his advanced studies at Darul Uloom Nadwathul Ulama in Lucknow were entirely centered on Arabic literature.
  • 1974: Graduated from Jamia Nooriyya Arabiyya in Kerala with the title of Moulawi al-Fazil Al-Faizi.
  • 1979: Completed formal degree in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of Calicut.
  • 1983: Obtained ‘Alimiyya’ degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Studies from Darul Uloom Nadwatul Ulama in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
  • 1986: Actively involved in establishing Darul Huda Islamic University.
  • 1987: Earned a Master’s degree in Arabic Literature from Aligarh Muslim University.
  • Ph.D. Studies: Commenced doctoral studies at the University of Calicut, focusing on Imam Jalaluddin al-Suyuti and his contributions to Arabic literature, with a special emphasis on Mazhar.
  • 1998: Post-Doctoral Fellowship: Dr.Nadwi is the first scholar from Calicut University, Kerala, India, to be awarded a post-doctoral fellowship after completing his doctoral research at the same institution.
  • 1999: Dr.Nadwi completed the Imam diploma course from prestigious Islamic higher learning centre Al Azhar University, Cairo
